The Perfumed Dandy’s Sunday Supplement

As you you will know by now, at the very core of The Perfume Dandy‘s enterprise are his reports back from the secret garden of female fragrance and of the wonders he discovers there.

You can, of course, find out more of all of this by becoming better acquainted with The Perfumed Dandy‘s affairs at ‘Who is The Perfumed Dandy?’.

However, like every correspondent of the best sort, The Perfumed Dandy believes he should provide his readers with something a little special on a Sunday.

After all Sunday is, in many (though by all means not all) parts of the world a day of reflection and relaxation.

In a good week it provides opportunity to consider life in its wider context, to ponder the imponderable and generally – in The Perfumed Dandy‘s world at least – spend a moment or two attending to the seriously superficial things that make our time on this Earth so profoundly important an undertaking.

So what manner of matters will the supplement cover?

A very good question indeed.

Well, the The Perfumed Dandy’s Sunday Supplement will have a fragrance theme, you would expect no less. But within that there will be occasional features of wide variety and interest to suit at least some of the people some of the time…

The Perfumed Dandy’s Diaries provide a glimpse into the life of our fabulous flaneur.

How and where he tests fragrances, the fair and fearful places and people that he encounters on his travels, his impressions of the world of perfumery at large.

The diaries are a unique and tantalising peek into the recesses of the mind of the experimentor extraordinaire.

Oh, by the way, that perfectly preposterous pink volume is not mine, but The Perfumed Dandy’s Diaries are such in-demand objects that like The Perfumed Dandy himself their identity must be kept a secret…

The Scented Speakers’ Corner, is a forum for the debate of perfumed points of import.

Every now and again a special guest with a determined set of views is invited to chair a debate on an issue concerning the scent community. Kicking us off with a polemic of their own, our hot seat perfumista or perfumaster will set out opinions that are controversial, critical or just downright crazy and then give you the opportunity for a right to reply.

The Perfumed Dandy’s Digest, is an occasional look at some of the very best new writing from perfumed pens across the great World Wide Web.

Chosen by The Perfumed Dandy himself, these articles are sure to inspire thought, anger, envy and purchases in equal measure.

The Perfumed Dandy’s Pen Pals are dear friends flung to the far corners of the planet who have agreed to share their well honed words with all of you.

They will tell you more about the scent of society where they live, the perfume culture of the places where they wake up and what fragrances are tickling the noses of folk in their part of the world.

Last but by no means least The Perfumed Dandy’s Perfect Star Guests.

The pride of The Perfumed Dandy‘s social scene, the toast of his scented salon, these selected writer’s share their wit and wisdom with you on a whole range of points perfumed and otherwise and are one of the highlights of The Perfumed Dandy’s Sunday Supplement.

Good lord, all of that has left me breathless.

The Perfumed Dandy feels like quite the combination of door to door salesman and society hostess, with a large dash of poet popped in somewhere in between.

All said, I commend to you The Perfumed Dandy’s Sunday Supplement, first edition Sunday the 17th of February 2013.

Oh, and by the way, if any of you jolly folks would like to try your hand at writing for The Supplement or have an article gathering dust that you’d like to see the light of day, do let The Perfumed Dandy know in the usual way at ‘Leave a calling card or contact The Perfumed Dandy’.

Pip Pip say I, it’s time to take Sunday’s back.

Yours fragrantly &c

The Perfumed Dandy.
