Has The Perfumed Dandy mentioned that since starting out on his amazing adventure in the Wicked Wild West that is the World of Women’s Perfume he has amassed from dear readers an astonishing array of almost 500 suggestions of once forbidden ‘female fragrances’ that you consider fit for a gentleman to wear?
Well, The Dandy has most certainly mentioned it now!
Being ever one to share both the love and the wisdom, I have taken it upon myself to spread cognisance of these suggested scents far and wide each Saturday.
Such is the premise of our weekly peek inside the The Perfume Dandy’s Library Catalogue.
What follows is the second installment of ’20 scents one never knew a man could wear’ that may tickle either your fancy or your funny bone…
If you would like to further the cause of one of the fragrances, getting it a step closer to the dizzying heights of The Perfumed Dandy’s Hit Parade kindly respondez-vous to this post.

I vote Le Temps d’une Fete.
1 vote for . Tauer Perfumes 02 L`Air du Desert Marocain- and it’s more of a man’s scent to me. But I love it and wear it often. I’m looking forward to your review of Tubereuse Criminelle. Cheers, RR
The story behind Miyake’s L’eau de Issey is as poetical as the scent itself. Great selection. I loved the Lancome ad with Juliette Binoche.
Dear Luixe
Now I am curious as to the story – I will need to go and winkle it out.
The Juliette Binoche ads are lovely – this is perhaps my least favourite of the ones I’ve seen but reproduces best.
If the Dandy espies a preferable version of one of the others, it is sure to make its way here at some point.
Yours ever
The Perfumed Dandy
I second Le Temps d’ une Fete and Mitsouko would do it too 🙂
Chanel 22! let’s see what you can come up with this 😀
The photo at the top, is it a personal photo or did you just find it online? i’d love to be able to label my decant like that. very interesting!
Dear R
This is borrowed photograph rather than a glimpse into the Dandy’s own collection, though I am looking at ways and means of storing the decants more effectively.
Any ideas most welcome.

I have a Padparadscha saphire ring and would love to know what Satellite Padparadscha smells like. I vote for this gorgeous orange juice. (can I also vote for No.22 and 31 Rue Cambon?….did you go there when you were in Pairs?)
Thank you Mr Lanier
I must say this one fascinates for the name alone.
Your comment is noted and inscribed in the ledger forthwith.

I love those two Tauers. Hugo Boss Deep Red takes me back to high school!
Dearest Madcute
I know someone who will be very happy those Tauers are getting some love – they have a big fan amongst the Dandy’s friend who’s as keen as mustard to see them hit The Hit Parade!
So thank you for the nudge…

Goodness, over half of those listed I have in my own collection! My votes:#1, #5, #9, #10. My own dear husband has nicked 31 Rue Cambon and Baghari. PS – do love the Piguets – just bought Futur.
Hello Annina and welcome to The Dandy’s parlour
Thank you for your votes, all of which are duly noted in the ledger.
I am wholly a piece with you about the Robert Piguet reissues they are (with only one or two slip ups) truly wonderful…
Look out there might be a review coming your way soon…
Yours ever
